![]() That turned out to be quite an undertaking, but on the other hand, as far as I'm concerned Fallout 2 is the best computer game ever made. This guide exists because I realized that if I wanted the kind of complete Fallout 2 guide that I envisioned, it pretty much meant writing it myself. Welcome to my Fallout 2 guide/walkthrough. Introduction "Hey, stranger! Need a guide?" If you want to play a moron who can hardly talk because of his low intelligence, you can. If you want to play an evil bastard, you can (Yes, you really can hit children in the groin with a sledgehammer). If you want to play a goodie-two-shoes, you can. Fallout 2 allows you to play your character the way you want. Fallout 2 is cool because it's a nonlinear, nonclassbased kickass postnuclear computer roleplaying game with a high replayabillity value. I posted this 'cause I pray to the sweet baby Jesus that someone out there hasn't figured it out yet, and will get a perk they didn't know they could. I guess the up-side is, like I said, my character is well-rounded. I've been doing side quests and shit, going through buildings, thinking things like "Well, I'll have to bring Cait back through here to get through that door." or "I wish ol' St Nicky was with me to hack that stupid terminal." Really?!? I could've been lockpicking shit myself?!? I could've been hacking away at expert terminals myself?!? That fucking "Req *** #" is the number of stars you need in the top level to unlock it. Which unlocked almost all the levels below them. Then it dawned on me, that I had spent most of my time in the beginning rounding out my 1st level of all the perks. So I gave it a whirl on one of them, and it let me choose it! "WTF? Holy shit!" I exclaimed. Then today, while wading through the perk chart after leveling up, trying to figure out what to add to, I realized that the stars were flashing on levels I was nowhere close to. "Req INT 2" meant that I needed to get at least 1 star in the second level of INT. It says "Req *** #" next to it, so I thought for ex. ![]() So the other day I realized I didn't have to fill out all the stars to pick a perk from the next level down. And I never looked at help on the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Mind you, I'm a total noob to the Fallout series. I just thought I'd share this shit, 'cause it was a fml moment for me. r/galaxynewsradio - Fallout-sounding music r/falloutcosplayers - Fallout-related cosplay ![]() r/Wasteland - A subreddit for the Wasteland games. r/thefalloutdiaries - Journal-like fan fiction. r/falloutmods - Fallout modding community ![]() r/classicfallout - Classic Fallout Games r/falloutlore - The lore of the Fallout series Piracy is a permanent ban, no warnings.Īll posts and comments in end, come down to moderator discretion.
